Acls Guideline Where Did Bretylium Go?

Where did bretylium go? - acls guideline

Excluding the efficiency, Is it true that bretylium is no longer within the ACLS guidelines, because the supply and availability is exhausted? Remember that I do not doubt the effectiveness, only the fact that apparently no longer available? And it does mean LONGER AVAILABLE?

What am I to my doctor before receiving bretylium? (TOP)
You need to know if you have any of these conditions:
• other heart problems
• Kidney disease
• an unusual or allergic reaction to bretylium, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives
• are pregnant or become pregnant
• chest chest

How is this medicine? (TOP)
Bretylium is injected into a muscle or injection or infusion into a vein. It is administered by a health professional in a hospital or a clinic.

What if I forget a dose once? (TOP)
This does not apply.

What drug (s) may interact wbretylium ITH? (TOP)
• Arsenic trioxide
• astemizole
• bepridil
• certain antibiotics (such as clarithromycin, erythromycin, Gatifloxacin, Grepafloxacin, levofloxacin, moxifloxacin, sparfloxacin)
• Cisapride
• Digoxin
• Ginger
• Guanethidine
• Hawthorn
• treatment of colds or respiratory illnesses (including asthma)
• medicines to treat mental depression such as tricyclic antidepressants
• medicines for mental disorders or psychotic disorders
• medicines to control heart rhythm
• pimozide
• probucol
• certain medicines to control their weight or food
• terfenadine

Tell your doctor or healthcare professional about all medications you take, not including --Ion medicines, dietary supplements or products from plants. Tell your doctor or healthcare professional if you are frequently of drinks with caffeine or alcohol, if you smoke or use illegal drugs. This can affect how the medicine. Ask your doctor before stopping or side effects of medications.

What side effects are noticed bretylium May I? (TOP)
Side effects, you should tell your doctor or pharmacist as soon as possible:
• Chest pain
• Difficulty breathing
• drowsiness, dizziness or lightheadedness
• Fever
• Nausea, vomiting
• slow heart beat fast or irregular

Side effects that do not require medical attention r (EPORT your doctor or pharmacist if they continue or bothersome):
• Diarrhea
• Headache
• Hiccups
• Rash
• Abdominal pain

What should I watch for while taking bretylium? (TOP)
You can dizziness, avoid a sudden drop in blood pressure and fainting, do not stand up or sit down quickly, especially when you are older, until you know how it works bretylium with you.

It is not sold in the United States. This "more available". ACLS abandoned because actually not effective. However, many drugs come in and out of the guidelines.
